A Ninkasi Beer is Love program

Connect & Protect Our Great Outdoors

Ninkasi is not just committed to sourcing the best sustainable ingredients and materials, but to helping companies, organizations, and our communities develop sustainable solutions—together. Whether it’s the water in our beer or the honey in our cocktails, we work directly with those doing the sustainability work—to support solutions that not only create a better beverage, but a more sustainable result for our region as a whole.

For summer 2023, Ninkasi Brewing has partnered with six organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest to create a regional impact in the work they do directly in each community. Ninkasi will donate a dollar for every case sold in that region to the designated organization. Plus, Ninkasi is organizing outdoor volunteer days with each organization. Come out and support the great outdoors with Team Ninkasi and enjoy a Ninkasi beverage after a hard day’s work.

GloryBee is a honey and natural ingredient company founded by beekeepers. In working toward our vision of a healthy world where bees and people thrive, GloryBee launched the SAVE the BEE Initiative in 2012 because we believe it is our responsibility to raise awareness of the plight of honey bees and hep find solutions to save our favorite pollinators.

GloryBee gives 1% of retail honey sales to SAVE the BEE and has invited other like-minded businesses to join the cause. GloryBee staff administer SAVE the BEE, meaning 100% of funds raised go to the cause.

The mission of Trailkeepers of Oregon is to protect the Oregon hiking experience through stewardship, advocacy, education, and outreach. Founded in 2007, TKO began as an all-volunteer effort to maintain and improve hiking trails throughout Oregon, and has since expanded across Oregon, engaging more than 3,000 volunteers at hundreds of stewardship events each year.

Trailkeepers lead trail maintenance activities in the Portland metro area, the Columbia River Gorge, on Mt. Hood, throughout the Oregon coast, and at natural spaces like Silver Falls, Smith Rock, Cape Meares, and Tillamook State Forest. TKO staff also host training events to educate volunteers on technical skills, like crosscut use, new trail development, and trail restoration in fire-affected areas. In addition, Trailkeepers recently launched a Trail Ambassador program to engage with visitors at popular trailheads and on trails, helping users understand routes, etiquette, and Leave No Trace practices, so everyone can feel safe and welcome in the outdoors.

TKO's vision is for Oregon’s trails to be a place where people can go to connect with nature and one another. They are accessible and welcoming to all communities. The trails and the natural lands that visitors explore are well cared for by TKO inspired stewards and dedicated public resources.
