This past week has been heartbreaking as the wildfires have torn through Oregon and the West Coast. While the impact has already been devastating, we are proud to be part of a community that bands together to support each other in a time of crisis. We have been in close communication to help support in any way we can, from providing food to on-site chefs providing meals, and donating much-needed supplies to the shelters for those displaced by the fires. For those in Lane County and looking for ways to help, more information can be found at: bit.ly/LaneCountyWildfireResources. A special thank you to our Ninkasi staff working both on and off the clock. In this time of need, you are the true examples of our core values: to Perpetuate Better Living.
We have also established two ways to support two local organizations close to us: McKenzie River Trust and Greenhill Humane Society. Both organizations are long partners of ours and have been working endlessly this week to support wildfire relief and displaced animals & livestock. We will be donating 100% of proceeds from sales of our September Citrus beer sold at The Ninkasi Better Living Room to these organizations. September Citrus is our 2020 Funds for Firefighters beer, a draft beer program Ninkasi established in 2015 to both thank and raise funds for local fire crews. Additionally, we will be donating a portion of proceeds from this week’s Ninkasi Dinner Club boxes and have designed this week’s recipes to involve minimal cooking and prep (a vegetarian option is also available). Both the Dinner Club boxes and beer are all available now for purchase at our online ordering site for pickup or local delivery, or come see us from 11 am – 7 pm. We hope these two programs offer opportunities to nourish our community and to pay it forward for those who are looking for ways to do so. Additional donations can be added through our checkout process, as well. Stay safe, everyone.
